Health Care
Village Rise’s Health Care program connects individuals and families with preventive care, basic medical resources, and local wellness initiatives that respond directly to community-identified needs. Through trusted partnerships and community collaboration, this program works to strengthen access to care while supporting healthier and more resilient communities.
Our work includes medical support initiatives, wellness and prevention efforts, access to basic health resources, and community-centered programs designed to improve overall wellbeing. By working alongside local organizations and healthcare partners, Village Rise helps increase access to compassionate and culturally responsive care.
We believe health and wellbeing are foundational to stability, opportunity, and long-term community resilience. When individuals and families are supported with access to care, communities are better positioned to thrive.
Access to healthcare is essential, yet many vulnerable communities continue to face barriers to basic medical support, preventative care, and wellness resources due to poverty, geographic isolation, displacement, or limited healthcare infrastructure.
In the communities Village Rise partners with, health challenges often extend beyond physical wellbeing, impacting education, economic stability, mental health, and long-term quality of life.
Village Rise chose Health Care as a core program because we believe every individual deserves access to compassionate and dignified care. Supporting healthier communities not only addresses immediate needs, but also strengthens resilience, opportunity, and long-term wellbeing.
Our Approach
Our approach to healthcare is rooted in partnership, responsiveness, and community trust.
We work closely with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to better understand the specific challenges individuals and families are facing before determining how support can be most effective. Rather than imposing external systems, Village Rise prioritizes community-informed initiatives that respect cultural context and local realities. This work includes preventative health efforts, wellness initiatives, access to medical support and resources, and collaborative programs that help improve quality of life across vulnerable communities.
Grounded in empathy, collaboration, and sustainability, Village Rise approaches healthcare as both an immediate humanitarian need and a long-term investment in healthier communities.
Project Highlight
Roadside Emergency Center | Qaranki Jungle Village, Iran
In partnership with Danehaye Mehr, Village Rise supported the construction of a Roadside Emergency Center in Qaranki Jungle Village, addressing a critical gap in emergency medical access across rural Golestan Province.
Prior to the project, residents across surrounding villages faced extremely limited access to emergency medical infrastructure, often requiring travel times of up to two hours to reach urgent care services. For individuals experiencing accidents, heart attacks, or medical emergencies, delayed response times created life-threatening challenges for families throughout the region.
Through community collaboration and local partnership, Village Rise helped establish a permanent emergency medical facility designed to provide rapid-response care to vulnerable rural communities.
Today, the center serves more than 7,000 residents across 20 surrounding villages and has helped reduce emergency response times by over 65%, decreasing average response times from nearly two hours to under twenty minutes.
Beyond providing urgent medical support, the facility represents a long-term investment in community wellbeing, healthcare accessibility, and lifesaving infrastructure for generations to come.
“Before the emergency center was built, families often faced long and frightening delays during medical emergencies. Now our community has access to lifesaving care much closer to home.”
